ouch! Frank, you are in a world of hurt if Skippy doesn't even want to trade with you. Come on, he's been caught trading with every living creature on this planet... if there's a deal even conceivable and many that aren't, Skippy will trade for it. With him turning you down, you might want to toss the towel in now!

Alexander at 4000 is a decent price compared to what some other RBs have gone for.

Actually, I just mentioned McAllister b/c be seemed to make the point more. Green also has a dismantled OL to deal with, so I am not as high on him as Duce.

However, all that said, Green is a head above WB if for no other reason than he is the clear starter on that team. WB is tied up in RBBC coaching philosophy and not as durable therefore gets his touches limited by the coaches. Age does not have too much to do with it, Green has at least a few years left.

Man, three hours without a single bid.
Is everythong out of money (most likely) or simply afraid to bid in fear they may have hit to wrong auction and will save Frank from himself!

PS: Alexander in Jacksonville wouldn't be all that bad. DT about the same - up & coming QB - about same quality DT in the division (poor).

not the same offensive line - that's the big difference

also, the coaching sucks worse in Jax than it does in Seattle IMO, and I hate the Walrus

BTW, as for bids, nobody up at the moment is worth additional bids on my end, not even JP... 400 was the most I felt he was worth.

:yikes Frank (Bloodsuckers).

1500 on Chrissy Brown? With the 4 RB's you already have ranging from 2750 to 4000?

Are you nuts? You asking for cap hell. Won't this put you over the cap?

He's an iffy starter, with an injury history and an owner panning for Travis Henry.

Heh, the Bloodsuckers have now won a total of 10 players, and spent a whopping 95.25% of the cap in doing so!

Frank's currently spent $19,050, and has just 950 cb's to sign a minimum of 12 players, which isn't possible without a trade or cut.

Curious to see how this turns out... I'll wager Frank has to give up more than he gets, and that's not counting one of the RB's... I can see having to part with a RB and a high pick for a low pick, kinda like the Subzero / Grief deal with the 2 overpaid IDP's.

This should be fun to watch! So who's gonna bail the Bloodsuckers out? We know several of you need a RB... whose gonna step up to the plate?

So can he really just sit on this all summer without suffering any penalty? If so, its not a bad strategy at all. Sit on 4 quality RBs, find out which one inevitably falls on hard times before the season starts, dump him and take the entire hard cap hit this year and fill out your team with late season acquisitions. You're going to get those guys cheap late in the summer, and there is bound to be players emerge in camp and such that are being overlooked now. You guarantee yourself a solid RB core, and that will give you a chance in any league.

I haven't referenced the rules yet to see if this is possible - but if it is, it shouldn't be! :dammit :feedback

He's not over the cap, why shouldn't it be allowed. Frank hasn't violated any rule that I know of.

Yeah, didn't think there was any rule against hoarding all summer and then dumping. I think that is partly the reason we are seeing owners with endless amounts of money to spend. Wasting 400 CBs (20% fee incurred to drop a player) in order to hold ransom a 2000 cb player for a few months at the start of a new league might be an effective strategy, it at least allows you to keep your league mates from being able to plan their team around that player.

Personally I don't believe you should be able to go beyond the point that you can field a legal team of at least 100 cb a player - most especially during a league initiating auction.

I fail to see how this will give him any kind of advantage, but maybe I am just not that far sighted. Without signing any top quality WR's, I don't see him being able to compete. So the teams without front line RB load up on the top WR's that are left, and at the very least they are equal. It's not like there aren't any starting RB's left. And quite frankly the RB's he has, with the exception of Alexander, aren't going to make anyone quake in their boots. They are definitely servicable, but I don't see a huge line of owners falling over themselves to get them. And he still has to nominate the minimum players, and will have to sign at least the ones no one else bids on. So, bring it on! :bling

I've already nominated 8 IDP's, that's the min, after you nominate 8 on either side of the ball, the additional nominations are your choice.

Yes 2 noms per team max, and you must nominate a minimum of 20 players, with a min of 8 IOP and 8 IDP.
