Soft Cap starting date
What is the day/date that soft cap starts? 2005 rules list Nov 1st...is it the same date every year or is it a certain day of the week after the week 8 games (like Tuesday)?
The reason I am asking is because I am concidering cutting a multiyear player and I would prefer taking the whole hit this year instead of spreading half of the hit to next year.

Unless the rules state the date is flexible, then it is a hard date, so yes, Soft Cap starts November 1st.
