And yes, Berry remains a UFA, the Snow Goons are penalized the 20% cap penalty and are banned on bidding on Berry for 30 days.

hmmm. seems to be a problem here.

This is FA (not auction). A player has 48 hours to clear. My bid was on Thurs at 11:03 am. This means he does not clear until today at 11:03 am (since he doesn't become active on my squad on Sat). THEN, I have 24 hours to cut someone.

So, I think this was written in error.

I believe 48 hours past 11:03am on Thursday is 11:03am on Saturday. From then you have 24 hours to make a cut which would have been 11:03am on Sunday. I currently have you tracked for 74cbs remaining after the 20% cap penalty.

Unfortunately, that is NOT the case with off-season Free Agency in SACD (or the Frenzy). Bids have a 48 or 72 hour clock (depending on when they're made), but the 24 hour room to get under the cap/roster requirement once a player sells remains unchanged.

During Off-Season Free Agenxy, players bid upon on Thursday will SELL on Saturday, meaning the 24 hours requires a move by Sunday if a team is over the cap or roster limit. Players bid on Friday won't sell until Monday.

Sorry Rami, but I think you were confusing things with the vet-auction, which was slightly altered rules. I know it stings, but this is how the rules are written, it's been that way in the Frenzy for years.

my complaint is not about the penalty. I understand the 24 hour period. My point is, I have never (CDL or any other league - and to date the auction in SACD) seen a bid end on Sat. I think that's a joke, personally. And if it were someone else, like Burt, I would give him the benefit of the doubt as well.
What I am disagreeing with is that a bid ended on Sat. I have never seen that. If I had known it would potentially end on Sat, I would have either looked or had someone log on for me. As it was, I honestly thought the auction wouldn't end until today - which is why I checked this morning. Preds can confirm that I did not log in over the weekend.

I would like to see what Burt's rationale was. Did he just mess up or did he think it went until Monday as well. If Burt knew, but just screwed up, well then I may just take my medicine (though I strongly disagree with it since I have never seen something like this). If he were under the same understanding as me, then I would like to put this to rule committee. Since we are just starting this league, I think a misunderstanding might be given some slack - especially when it is different than what people are used to. And both transgressors are NOT Frenzy players, so I know I have never seen this happen before. There should be no stoppage for Fridays then. I disagree with having some days off on weekend and others not.

Please give it some consideration.
