just noticed this entry...sorry for my lack of attention. I'll give you my breakdown. First of all, how the heck do you have so many starters!?!?!?

Well its only an 8 team league so we decided to keep it more challenging we'd have basically double the starting slots. The talent pool runs deep, as if it were a 16 team league with the starting requirements of 1 QB, 1 RB, 2 WR, and .5 Flex. Traditional 8 team leagues are pretty stacked and every team will have studs unless they're complete newbs. At least with these staring requirements you still have to dig deep to find the talent.

ok
Here we go. Team 1: QB – risky – no true studs. Carr and Leftwich to have good seasons, but neither has done so far last year. DelHomme had good year and should get better. RB – wow! Tomlinson, D Davis, Jones, C Brown, Martin, Suggs…holy Toledo! Too bad they can’t start all of them. Should be trade bait for any other position needed WR – Owens should carry this team. Branch in 17th round is a steal. Rest are middle of the road. TE – Shockey should do well if healthy, but not stud like he’s supposed to be K – very solid DT – should be adequate ** Overall, RB’s R Us. Should possibly try to trade a few off, while their market is good. Team 2: QB – Very solid. Should be very good this year. RB – Holmes (‘nough said), but should contact team 1 to get another RB. Faulk will do ok, but not for whole season (bright getting Jackson) WR – very solid. Holt, Mason & S Smith should be very good for them week in and week out. TE – good. K – also very good DT – wow! Nice combo…two best ** Overall, very solid team all the way around. RB is only weakness (RB depth – not quality) Team 3: QB – Culpepper rocks – other two way too erratic…may cause headaches. RB – Green and Westbrook will do well. Barlow questionable (may do well, but no supporting cast). WR – just fair. Horn, Moulds & Chambers all potential to do well, but all three on questionable Offensive teams. May do well, but I don’t feel consistency there…good depth, though TE – very solid 1-2 punch K – also very solid DT – Nice. Jags have potential and Dallas pretty good. ** WR will make or break this team. Need second SOLID QB to make a serious team here. Team 4: QB – Very nice. Green & McNabb should do very well. If OL holds, Maddox will be a steal, if not, he’ll struggle. RB – solid fisrt three. I think McAllister will struggle a little this year (lost his fullback), but Taylor and Dillon should do well. Need a little more depth. Barber will not be great this year either (unless he can hold on to the ball). WR – Very nice. Santana, Koren & Isaac, should all do well. McCardell taken WAY too early for someone who has threatened to hold out the whole year. Good depth TE – weak. Need second and Pollard is no longer #1 in Indy. Check the waiver wire or trade. K – good. DT – both have potential (will they live up to it)? ** Main point scoreres (QB, RB, WR) should do well. Weaker in other areas. Team 5: QB – Nice combo. But, no backup for bye week (oops). RB – very nice. Portis & Johnson will be solid. Davis still workhorse, but losing a few carries. I don’t think Garner is the answer in TB. Good pickup getting Foster as well! WR – fair. Jackson & McCareins should do well. Porter should be #1 in Oak. Andre Davis taken way too early. Rice and Lelie questionable. TE – unknown. Should do well, but he’s a rookie. May suck too. Browns hurting bad enough, they will probably use him a lot. K – good. DT – very nice. Think it’s a good combo ** Overview. Well rounded team except a few questions at WR. Otherwise, should do well. Team 6: QB – questions abounding. Garcia (new team), Gannon (return from injury) and Harrington (well, it’s Harrington). No true stud. (Gannon in round 14…could be a total steal) RB – very nice. Edge should have a great year and Lewis should do well (1500). Staley, Jones, Dunn & Jones all have potential. 2nd best to team #1. WR – good. Johnson a little rocky w/ new QB, but otherwise a lot of #1 targets. Very deep is not studly. TE – the best (need backup for 2nd TE though) K – ok. I don’t think Gramatica is what he used to be DT – Very nice combo here as well. Very solid (Titans in round 20 s a steal). Probably 2nd best ** QB’s will make or break this team. If they can pull it together, they will be in the playoffs. If not, may fall short. Team 7 QB – Manning stud…Brooks and Palmer need consistency. Could be very solid. RB – thin. Alexander will have good year. Griffin unknown (but he’s in Denver). Bennett (can he stay healthy?) WR – ok. Ward should do well (even when passing falters he does well). No depth. Rogers, Warrick, Ferguson, etc, no studs. Could do well, but doubt it. Northcut in 9th round (must be a Browns fan!). A lot of players, no great depth. TE – very nice. K – should be very good DT – both should do well, but unknown. ** Wow. Too many questions on this team. I see them needing a lot of help (course the way fantasy football goes, they will probably win it all since it never goes as you plan). I just don’t feel comfortable with this team. Team 8 QB – Nice QBs. Vick is risk = return. Pennington and Favre should be solid. RB – VERY thin. Henry will do well if he stays healthy (didn’t get McGahee though as they should have). Duckett and Wheatley both named starters, but Dunn and Fargus will steal carries. WR – wow. Moss and Harrison…. Then potential is Coles & Price. Very good. Boldin should not have been drafted . Best WR TE – Williams should do well, but need another one K – Three??? Who cares about kickers bye weeks. You have the best two. Leave it on the bye week. DT – Eagles and Bucs should both do very well. ** Need to trade w/ Team 1 or 6 for a solid #2 RB. Once they have solid #2 and #3, this will be a very tough team to beat. Otherwise, we know RB will championships. |

Thanks Ramirez for your input. I'm team 1 and I know my QBs are the biggest question mark. I wasnt planning on getting so many RBs but they kept falling. Trent Green and Tom Brady were picked right before me at the end of the 8th so I ended up going with Plaxico and Rod Smith at the turn. I seriously debated about getting Daunte and TO at the 2/3 turn but went with DD and TO instead. If I had known such good RBs would fall I would have jumped on Daunte. Oh well. Right now my plan is to wait a bit and hope some injuries hit the teams with little or no RB depth and make a trade to upgrade my QB slot. Its risky but it can turn out well. Another reason I went so many RBs was that I saw what team 8 was doing, passing on RBs while loaded up on WR and QBs. I couldnt let him get the RB value that was dropping or else like you say, his team would be stacked. He's one of my biggest rivals so unless he knocks my socks off, I probably wont trade him one of my RBs. Thanks again for the input. Greatly appreciated.
