AP has not cleared waivers. Players cut during offseason cannot be bid on for a period of 72 hours. He was cut on 27 Aug @8:39PM. So bids open 30 Aug @ 8:40PM
Players cut during in season (which I think begins today) only require 24 hours to clear waivers. |

Maybe I'm confused here. I was reading the rules on that before I originally posted for him and it sounded to me like once we we transition to in season, all FA bidding rules switch to in season rules on the day after the 3rd preseason game, (28th), the including bids players actively being bid on that straddle the transition. From: 8C #9.
9A says any player not acquired by a team at the offseason deadline becomes a free agent once the deadline passes and in season starts. So I guess I read it that AP became a FA on the 28th at the start of the in season: And This part of 7f sounded like once a player is a feee agent, they are clear if waivers. "Each player waived will be placed on the waiver wire for a period of 24 hours during In Season Free Agency, and 72 hours during Off Season Free Agency. During this period, each team will have the opportunity to claim the waived player and assume his current contract without the player reaching Free Agency." So I guess as I write this, it sounds like it could maybe be one of three possibilities? he either A) automatically becomes a free agent at the deadline if not being bid on since he's not on a team B) clears waivers in 24 hr rather than 72 once transitioning to in season rules, or C) clears waivers in 72 hours because his cut time was still in the off season. Rules apply based on when he was cut. If he's cut in off season its 72 hrs, regardless of a change from off season to in season fa

Right. Any activity happening before a cutover date, stays with rules of the time the activity started until its completed.
Except clock stoppage on weekends. That changes to new period rules...
