Homer moves from Mashers and Floyds

Masher will trade QB Russell Wilson SEA

to Floyds for WR Greg Childs MIN

Mashers designate Wilson to 5 years prior to deal.

Mashers Confirm.

Floyds will also assign Childs to 5 years and we confirm the trade.

Another homer move for sure...but with Flynn and Wilson, I am hoping to have one solid QB option for several years....

I haven't looked at the rules, but suppose we need to designate their assignments also...Wilson will go to my TS

Yah man!! I was just reading this:
Source: Minneapolis Star Tribune - Dan Wiederer
Minnesota Vikings WR Greg Childs (knees) tore the patella tendons in both of his knee during a scrimmage Saturday, Aug. 5, and will miss the entire 2012 season. He will undergo surgery to repair the tendons in the next few days.
[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ OUR VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
This is the type of injury that could end Childs career. He was trying to regain his form after a 2010 patella tendon injury in college at Arkansas. Childs never looked the same after that injury and struggled during his senior season in 2011.
===========================================
Sorry man...bad luck for sure...I still have him in two other leagues...maybe time to rethink whether to take up a slot for him, or cut him loose and keep it open for anohter....

More bad news dude:

The Minnesota Vikings announced Monday, Aug. 6, they have waived WR Greg Childs (knees).
[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ OUR VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
It's going to be extremely difficult for Childs to come back from two patella tendon injuries. He was already trying to come back from one patella tendon injury he suffered as a junior in college in 2010.

I think this is standard procedure before they IR him. By waiving him he doesn't count against the number of players they have on the camp roster. After he clears they will probable IR him since he won't count against the roster.

Yeah, I think this is the procedure they have to follow so he doesn't count against the 80 players in camp at this point. As long as he clears (who wants an unproven WR with no knees), then he'll be IR'd for this year. Either way, chances he plays an NFL down seem low, but you never know.
