The rules don't specifically state Franchise tags are due on the same date as RFA tags, but I think we've been operating under that assumption. If that's the case, then this tag is too late. If not, we should probably clarify that in the rules. I don't care either way as I doubt (or at least hope) a kicker won't determine this year's league champion.

The Rules state "Beginning April 1, all players who had only one year remaining on their contracts become either Free Agents or Restricted Free Agents or Franchise Players."

Haven't we always put a deadline for RFA and Franchise declarations to be midnight March 31?

I guess the answer to your last question is no (not for this year anyway). This was an extention of another post. We had decided that this year we had to have our RFA's declared by March 24. I had then asked in the other post if that meant we also had to have our franchise tags declared by then. We decided later on that while we agreed to have our RFA's in by the 24th, we could still franchise tag guys until the 31st, which I was fine with. This is no longer an issue.

HMMM...ok...I thought we extended the date to declare, but maybe that was in Frenzy...anyways, as you were....
