Renegotiate RB Jamaal Charles, KC
Renegotiate Charles to 4 years
2009 salary should go from 605 to 905...I think Since he is on my Taxi squad, do I need to promote him in order to renegotiate or can he remain on my taxi?

Hmmm..I do not see anything specific about only allowing renegotiation of Taxi/Practice squad players...
My initial thought would be no, you cannot leave him on Taxi and reneg - only because you are adding to his original contract, thus the new contract should be liable to roster penalties should you cut him.

Ok. I was thinking the same thing but couldn't find any clarification in the rules. I will promote him and make the necessary cuts before my 24 hr roster compliance time period is up tonight.
