5.11 TE Travis Beckum, NYG

If he was not so banged up last year, Beckum could have easily been the top selection at the TE position heading into the draft... but he started the season with hamstring issues and then a busted twig put him down for the count.

By all accounts, he is completely recovered and getting good reps at the H-Back position in the Giants OTA .. Beckum all the elite receiving skills needed to be hugely successful at the NFL level AND also shows a willingness to make and sustain blocks.. He has a the blue-collar work ethic that the Giants love!

I thought about taking this kid much earlier, so I am elated to grab him now and stash him on the Practice Squad.. His situation mirrors that of the Colts a few years ago when they drafted Dallas Clark and I expect to see Kevin Boss slipping into the Marcus Pollard blocking role as Beckum takes over the fantasy friendly H-Back position.
