The former Vol is an athletic edge player with outstanding versatility. As a potential defensive end/outside linebacker, he's capable of stacking the run while also providing some pass-rushing skill off the edge. Though he has been pegged as a "one-year wonder," Ayers was playing the best football of his career at the end of his senior season, and he may continue his ascent as a rookie.

Ayers has certainly has potential as through his college years as he has demonstrated the capability to adapt to nearly every position along the defensive line.. adequate at each but a master of none. With the right coaching and system he might find a niche and excel at it.. OR he might end up being another one of the 'tweener' guys that is too small to play with his hand in the dirt, and too slow to play standing up.

You make some good points. I'm showing some faith in the Bronco mgt. They do suck on defense and they used the 18th pick on him. He will play somewhere and surrounded by medocrity he may just shine and make a lot of tackes.
