Let's just say I'm thrilled with this pick. I had him pegged as a 1st round talent and my #3 overall WR behind Crabtree and DHB.
He's a risky pick due to character concerns and coming out of Florida's famed spread offense which has produced WRs with crazy college numbers but have gone on to fail in the NFL. However, landing in Minnesota could be the best thing that happened to him. Defenses have to account for ADP, give safety help to Berrian, and still have to find ways to account for Sydney Rice. All these weapons around Harvin should allow him to continue to fill his role in Florida as a hybrid WR/RB. He's a special talent. People say he maybe too small to play RB but Warrick Dunn was 5'9" and 187 pounds. Harvin is 5'11" 192 pounds, 4.41 speed, 19 reps on the bench press... excellent vision and agility. He certainly can carry the rock once in a while. I don't pick again until the 4th round, so I am very thrilled being able to grab the #1 QB and my #3 WR after only having 1.12 and 2.12 going into the draft.

Re: 2.2 WR Percy Harvin MIN
Solid pick here... I had him on the top of my list.. Alot of upside and definately worth the chance as a 2nd round pick. Here is a little press on him that I found while studying him.
The rookie with the best value right now in my eyes is Percy Harvin; this kid is a special talent and has playmaker written all over him. On top of that, he finds himself in a very good situation with the Vikings - not a lot of depth at WR and a good running attack led by Adrian Peterson which will force defenses to stay honest. |

Sage is legit talent-wise, but does he have the noggin to be a starting QB? He had some major meltdowns last year which would make me a little leary of depending on him or anyone else dependent upon him.
