Dixie Chunks sign about Freedom

Freedom gives up:
Braylon Edwards (2 yr, $1028)
Owen Daniels (2 yr, $110)
2009 3rd pick (this would be the pick the Popes traded to me)

Dixie Chunks give up:
Jamal Lewis (1 yr, $1920)

Dixie Chunks will confirm

It was supposed to be sing about Freedom but I guess they could do it in sign langauge. This is the first time that I can remember being a buyer this time of year so hopefully it will pay off in a playoff berth.

Wow a great trade for the Chunks IMO.

If Lewis rounds into shape then Edwards will too plus he's cheap for next year. Then to get a very good TE is what makes the trade tilt in Burt's favor.

I have to be honest I think the best player the Chunks got was Daniels. Edwards has been a disappointment this year and was a WR#5 for me behind Marshall, Jennings, Evans and White. To this point Edwards can't seem to catch a cold with those stone hands (maybe it's the shoulder or whatever).

Also, I had no RB's this week between Bush's injury and Grant's bye so Lewis will fill the void (along with the grossly overpaid) BJGE (who name should be offically changed to save typing time).

Since the Chunks are building for next year they will hopefully get good value out of the players and pick they got. From my perspective Lewis should be a 15 point a week RB which is not great but should cover the RB#2 and allow me to rotate the 4 WR's once we get past the byes.

Who knows, I am not normally in this sort of position so maybe a overpaid but neither of the players that I traded was starting for me (though a case could be made to start Daniels over Dallas Clark). Oh, well hopefully it works for me this year and the Chunks next year.

That's what it's all about...you are pushing for playoffs, so you do what you can to improve to take a shot....

I thought it was "all about" putting your left foot in... taking your left foot out... putting your left foot in... and shaking it all about!?!

(come on, everyone sing along, "You do the hokey-pokey and you turn yourself around... that's what it's all about!!!!")

I did not put him on the block since he did not have a whole lot of value in my mind and I needed a quick deal so I could have RB for this week. Oh, well in the future I will throw it out there and see what happens. Who knows for some of those guys Burt maybe be willing to trade him to you.

Just to clarify the pick traded to the Dixie Chunks belonged to the Amish (not the Popes).

Here is the thread for that trade: http://www.predsff.com/forums/showthread.php?t=12262

I have already let Burt know. Thanks!
