% chance this league stays intact?

This whole dropping the league deal and board switching has me pretty upset. What % chance is there that Frenzy stays together. So far it sounds like only Jim wants to step forward with the league stuff next year. I did the draft crap but that's a lot of time and effort.

I'm bummed because I finally feel I have a handle on the cap things and was trying all this year to set up myself up for next. If there is a low chance Frenzy is going to stick, I'm not going to put the effort into this the rest of the year. I'll submit a valid lineup each week, but that's about it.

What has happened to this league? I know I f'ed up last year and caused some big problems but that is dealt with. I just value your time and my time and don't want to put effort into a lost cause.

I'm not saying this cause I'm from MN as some feel there is something in the water up here . I am just trying to be frank and real with how I am feeling.

Being commish in SAC'd, I can attest to the amount of work these 2 leagues take. One person, or even 2 cannot be expected to handle everything to keep these leagues running. The only way for these leagues to keep going is for everyone to take on part of the duties needed. That didn't happen in SAC'd and apparently isn't happening here. But honestly, that is the only way these leagues will continue to function.

The problem with waiting until the season ends is that Preds boards will be inactivated by then, so we will need some place to carry on our conversations and decision making process of where and how to continue. So I think it's best to come up with a new board ASAP, so that we can test drive it before we have to move. In the meantime, continue to use Preds boards to finish up the season.

I don't think keeping these boards going is even an option anymore. It's more the work involved to upgrade to new SQL version than it is the money for Mike.

Okay, I was away most of last week in Disney World (which for some reason does not have free internet access). Anyhow it looks like I missed quite a lot here. New team and new board(s) for next year. Can someone give a brief explanation? Dunca (I spent time in Germany at Epcot)!

The Preds boards needs to upgrade to new SQL version, which means lots of work and additional money for Mike to keep it going. He doesn't feel up to putting in the time, so we are moving to new boards. Frank found a new board that is very similar, and has volunteered to try and smarten it up and bring it as close to here as possible.

As for the new team, Popes decided to bail due to personal conflicts, and rather than see a good league unravel, I stepped in to take over his crappy team ;-) I guess the other 2 Minnesota teams are bailing at season end also. Brian has not announced his departure in SAC'd yet, but since he has already said it is likely, we will be looking for a replacement owner there also.

We will continue in MFL, so everything will go on as is there.
