Don't worry Burt, I really don't think he'll play another down. Green Bay owns his rights, but they want to move on with the Rogers Experiment. He'd have to force Green Bay's hand by formally unretiring and making them either pay him millions or release him and neither side wants to do that.

No, they didn't...but they had to anyway. Brett wanted to play for them again and they were willing to pay him $20-25 MILLION to stay retired. Oh well. I'm sure you were going to sit Brady and play Favre on a weekly basis, right?

Sure. If he'd asked someone desparate for a QB if they were interested, they'd have offered him his choice of Cedric Benson or Mike Williams and tried to convince him that they had just guaranteed him the league championship!
