OPIHI and AMISH swap... AGAIN!
Just when you thought the OPIHI would make their first 2008 draft pick... we're trading down again...
Opihi send 2008 picks 2.06 and 4.10 to the AMISH... AMISH send 2008 picks 2.12, 2.17 and 4.16 (One of these days I'm going to use all these picks I'm stockpiling... on a bunch of guys I have very little passion about!!!) |

Jim,
I have to admit to being somewhat perplexed by you constantly moving down! This was a fairly deep draft IMO, and I think you've traded yourself out of the heart of it for later picks this year that won't be of much significance! I guess you're increasing you chances of watching multiple deep sleepers in the summer and hoping 1 hits, but I think you could have taken 1 or 2 solid prospects instead. Curious moves my man, very curious!

 ... seriously, I had 6-7 players that I felt were equal at the 2.06 spot. None of them I was absolutely in love with. In fact, I'm more of a UFA guy, to be honest... especially when picking so late in the first round. So... figured I might as well trade down... get a few more of the "fliers" and wait until the end of the preseason to decide who I'll keep.Maybe it was a stupid move. But I really wasn't sold on any particular player after Kelly got chosen. |
