3.07 DL Jamaal Anderson, Atlanta
They seem to be fond of the name "Jamaal Anderson" in Atlanta. The last guy turned out to be a fan favorite, and I'm betting this one will as well, plus he has an extra "a" for "attack" in his name. ;) This guy is an athlete with great upside and room to get even better. NFL.com's draft analyzer has him comparable to Aaron Schobel... I'll take that.
The Falcons brought him in to rush the passer, which he did very well in college (15 1/2 sacks in 2006 for Arkansas), in fact, new teammate JaMarcus Russell is sure glad they're on the the same team now!  What I get here is a guy who was a top 8 overall pick in the NFL draft. One who many mocks had going as high as #5 overall, all for the cost of a 3.07 pick in SACD AND at the minimum salary of 100. Can't beat that! Welcome to the Preds Jamaal, meet your new teammate and bookend DL Mario Williams! With AP, Russell, Ginn, and now Anderson, I have 4 of the of the top 9 picks in this years NFL draft. Yeah, I have to say I'm excited about this years draft class for the Preds.
