3.12 RB DeShawn Wynn, GB

Running back out of Florida who has good quickness, vision & instincts. Solid physical specimin at 5'10.75" and 233 lbs. Not incredibly fast, but can catch & pass protect. Runs a bit upright... but with the uncertain RB situation in Green Bay, this seemed as good a pick as any. Hopefully he'll show something in training camp, and I'll have the summer to determine if he's worth keeping on the taxi squad come opening day!

On to the 4th round... where we can stash guys on our practice squad!

As long as he can learn to stay off the cell phone ;), he's got as good a shot as any this late. Good situation for a late round RB pick to be in GB...

No, back at FL. One of the "he's a troublemaker" issues in college was, among other things, when the coaches wanted him to run a play in practice and he couldn't be bothered because he was on the sideline on his cell phone.

I understand, but the reality is he woulda been cut come August since I dont have TS room for him, so why move up when I can hope he falls to 4.3 where I could then place him on the PS (though I doubted he would fall).

I wouldn't have taken him at 4.02, so you had a chance (if Jim had been able to trade down, he might have slid to you). I've been locked onto my 4th round pick since before the NFL draft. If Brett picks him at 4.01, I'm gonna go nuts. I already have my biography of the guy written up for my thread

Yeah, I know he has a .1% chance of ever turning into an NFL starter, but what the heck, this is our time to dream, right???

I'm guessing the guy you're thinking of... is the other guy I was considering picking at 3.12. I'm a big fan, too. Knew he wouldn't fall long in the 4th round.
