While he might not be the most talented back in the class and Morency could be a roadblock he seems like the best fit for a Freedom team that has young WR's but not much in the RB stable (other than Reggie Bush). Considered trading up to get him so for him to fall here makes this a "must" pick.
Hopefully, he will follow in the footsteps of another Nebraska/Green Bay RB Ahman Green. As for the delay I apologize but I was waiting for word on a possible trade. |

Initially, I zeroed in on BJax, but realistically, youth at RB just wasn't a need position for me, and the more I read about Jackson the more I chose to steer clear (while talking him up to try and drum up trade interest that never appeared).
He's never been "THE" guy before, and I don't see why he's suddenly going to be able to be "THE" guy now. From what I've gatehred, the best case scenario is RBBC with Morency both short term and longterm, which is just not enough upside for me to bother with him. All that said, he's a potentially a starting RB, and at this point in the draft thats pretty good. Good luck with him.

I agree I was not totally sold after I read more either. However, the Pack had a number of needs and they chose to use a second rounder on him so they must have seen something that they liked. Hopefully he can stay healthy and make this pick worth something.
