Official league time is EASTERN TIME as per the rules. Deal with that Mr. Commish!

FWIW, with teams all over the glove, we need to have a standard time, can't go mixing timezones back and forth as it causes too much confusion! My suggestion is for those outside the Eastern Time zone to set their board clocks to Eastern so they are always on league time with their bids and whatnot and can plan accordingly.

Regardless of the time how can a match on May 19th be more than 72 hours (3 days) after a final bid on May 17th?

The Dodgers winning bid on Wilson was at 12:54pm on May 14th. Wilson then sold 48 hours later at 12:54pm on May 16th. The 72 hour match period them commenced and ended on May 19th at 12:54pm ET.

What does it matter what time you set up on the boards? I'm on central time so every bid posted is displayed as central time. Changing to eastern only means that I would have to manage two time zones. Why would I want to do that?

I suggest eveyone set the board to Eastern time to prevent folks misunderstanding the times when communicating with each other, whats 5pm to me is 10pm to Smitty and 3pm to Burt. The league officially runs on Eastern time, so it only makes sense that everyone set their board clocks to Eastern so they can quickly see the board time and be on the same page as all other owners.

I did mean what I posted "The Fat Nancies has 72 hours from time of sale to match/decline". I try to post the same thing on all closed bids. Everyone is capable of checking out the final bid timestamp and figuring out timing as well as I can. If I started posting the actual times, then we'd all be in trouble, as you can see from our discussion on time zones. But if everyone thinks that would make things easier, then I can start doing that, and make everything East Coast biased....

As I said, stupid me. I had every intention of matching but I thought I would check against my master at home. It was a stupid mistake but I do think we could be a lot clearer, I assumed the clock started when the commish posted.
