Guys, My heart just isn't in it for FF anymore. Seriously, after the season ends, I'm walking away. My decision is 100% on SACD. I'm trying to give you guys plenty of lead time to find a suitable replacement for next season. My team in SACD sucks primarily because I just don't care anymore and have run it into the ground with poor uninformed decisions (mainly bacause I've stopped watching football or reading anything), and that's bad for the league. I'm gonna finish out the year, but after that, I'm further cutting back down to no more than 2 leagues, and perhaps none. I love the Frenzy, and continue to win there, but again, I'm not really enjoying it. It all seems like a burden to me, and in the end feels like a complete waste of time and effort. As a result, even the Frenzy where I'm 5-3 and defending champ may well be on the chopping block. FWIW, so is my local. Despite being 12-2 there, I'm just not having any fun, I can't stand watching football on TV (I didn't watch a single down today), read next to nothing, hate my local team with a passion, and pick lineups based on whims. It's just a bad mix for competitive leagues. Like I said, my heart just isn't in it, thus I'm recognizing that's it's time for me to step aside before I further tarnish my past accomplishments. ![]() I guess the fact that Hockey has once again become FUN has played a huge part in this decision. I enjoy watching hockey on TV, and attending games (having an exciting home team certainly doesn't hurt), but the reality is, the new NHL is fun again, much like the early 80's when I used to go to tons of games as a teenager. The NHL has essentially passed the NFL for my limited sports viewing time. Anyhow, I apologize, I just know it's time. :Sorry Mike

Mike, I've tried talking you into staying in the past but it appears it is just time to walk away or take a break. It's been a blast, and hopefully we'll have one last meeting where I can take that trophy from you.

I feel ya Mike. I've been struggling to keep up this year too...with all my leagues and watching games not involving the Colts and Bears. However, I love IDP leagues and plan on restricting myself to SAC'D and IFFL only next year so that I can hopefully be competitive in both. I can't imagine what it'd be like if I were still in the Frenzy this year.

I am sorry to hear that (well except for the fact that I will not automatically have two losses from you each year). Hopefully some time away will recharge the batteries. As for hockey I can't imagine what it's like to have a good local team to root for. Unless you like watching to see if the opponents can score in double digits (which has almost happened at least twice already).
Anyhow, best wishes with whatever decisions you make!

Sorry it has come to this Mike. It's fun playing against you, and we've had some good times, especially when I make one of my famous 'great' trades. I hope you will still be on IM, so I can keep you up on which new 'great' deals I make in the future!
