There is a limit of 1 player per year that can be added to the PS.

Has this been encountered before? If so, what's the precedent?

The rules are pretty clear:
"Players can only be placed on the Practice Squad from the annual rookie draft, and only 4th round selections are eligible for the Practice Squad. There is a limit of only one player per year added to a teams practice squad."

Shep will have to figure out what to do with one of the 2.

Still need Shep to make an adjsutment on the PS, can only add one of the two.
I will add both for now so their on the roster, but need to know pretty soon i think.

Should have been done by the time declarations were made...in SAC'd, they lose the lowest draft pick for invalid declarations....not sure how you want to handle it here Jim...

yep, that would be according to the rules, so he would lose the lower one if were by the book.

While updating the roster app, I've just noticed that Greatshepski is over the Taxi Squad contract years cap by 2 years.

Montario Hardesty - 4 years
Christian Ponder - 5 years
Andy Dalton - 5 years
Rob Housler - 4 years
Ricky Stanzi - 4 years

Does anyone remember if this had occurred before and if so what the precedent was? I'm thinking it's the loss of the lowest drafted player which would be Ricky Stanzi in this case.

I've looked through the rules, and it only says the total number of years can't exceed 20 (and no player can have more than 5 years max).
And to the best of my knowledge, we've never had this problem before in the FRENZY. Normally, we'd catch this right around the declaration time. Our bad.

I'm going to rule that the "penalty" is the last player added will have his contract years reduced to make it compliant to the 20 year max. In this case, Ricky Stanzi's contract will be 2 years.
