Question Should we allow Renegotiation of traded players only *** DOES NOT PASS ***

A Yes vote would allow a traded player with only one year left on his contract, to have his contract renegotiated to add one additional year to his existing contract

FYI... poll will stay open until March 17 (St. Paddy's Day!)... if 7 votes have not been made in favor of this rule change, it will fail.

So as I understand it the vote is tied at 5-5. For it to pass we need 7 votes for yes and 2 teams haven't voted. The deadline is March 17th. If both teams vote to change then it is a rule for 2011 season, if either team votes not to change OR doesn't vote then the renegotiation issue dies (this year anyway). Sound right?
What would the cost be to renegotiate a contract from an acquired 1 year player to 2 years IF the measure passes (for clarification in rules rewrite)?

I don't think we've "hammered out" how the renegotiation would go... first is seeing if it is possible... second will be to figure out the details.

Correct..I think the # of years we allow is still in the air, so if this passes, I will create a new poll to decide how many years we allow to reneg on traded players...

Well... the St. Patty's Day deadline has come and gone... and we're still one vote shy of this passing. So for now, it's dead.
