Gunslingers gives 1.3 in 2009 Floyds gives 1.6 in 2009 and first rounder in 2010 Burt can you "sticky" this so we can add to it going forward? Thanks! Last edited by Liquid Swords; April 15th, 2011 at 11:52 AM. |

We kind of started doing this in the 2010 Draft Order string, but I'll put mine here as well.
Summary of Clowns trades: Get: Mashers' 2nd for Greg Olsen Shep's 1st for Pierre Thomas Shep's 5th for Trent Edwards Give: Clowns' 5th (to Shep) as part of Thomas trade

I have created the Rookie Draft and Rookie Commentary threads. The draft order should include all current trades, so check it out, and if I missed one, please post it here, not in the draft tracker thread.

My trades are below.
July 2009 I traded Donald Brown for Disciples 2010 1st Round and Plexico October 12th I traded my 2010 5th Round for Trent Edwards. October 21st ( I had two 2010 1st round picks) I traded Vincent Jackson and ONE of my 1st round choices to Clowns. For Piere Thomas, Patrick Crayton and 2010 5th round. So I should still have the second pick (1.2) in this years draft giving my other 1st round the third pick (1.3) to Clowns. You have the 5th round correct BUT BOY the 1st round is JACKED. |

i would have to say becuase you didnt specify in the trade if it was your own 1st rounder, or the one you got from 36chambers that the trade of hte 1st round pick to the clowns was your own pick.
I dont think its a good idea to allow a team to pick which pick at this point, as that changes the landscape a lot. Unless theres somethign documented indicating its the chambers v.s your own 1st round pick, the assumption has to be it was your own you traded to the clowns. |

I would also agree that if you don't specify which pick, it is assumed to be your own pick. Not everyone knows how many picks or which picks you have. Also, when Burt moved the trade over on the website he moved your first round pick and left the 36 Chambers pick on your roster so if you saw that on the transactions that should have been a red flag as well. Just my opinion...

I do not see anywhere that says the pick conditional or optional. I checked the transactions done on MFL..the offer was initially made for Sheps first, not Swords, there was some discussion on the players involved, so a couple offers went back and forth, and all offers were for Sheps 1st, not Swords.
Greatshepski (Shep) offers*Jackson, Vincent SDC WR; Year 2010 Round 4 Draft Pick from Greatshepski (Shep)Dos Clowns (Alan/Bryan) for*Thomas, Pierre NOS RB;Crayton, Patrick DAL WR Expires:*Fri Oct 16 1:00:00 p.m. ET 2009* Comments:*Ok Vincent is yours I need RB help and if you give me a wr to help for the draft chioce I can let my boy Jackson go. Let me know soon. ****that was first offer Dos Clowns (Alan/Bryan) offers*Thomas, Pierre NOS RB;Crayton, Patrick DAL WR; Year 2010 Round 5 Draft Pick from Dos Clowns (Alan/Bryan)Greatshepski (Shep) for*Jackson, Vincent SDC WR; Year 2009 Round 1 Draft Pick from Greatshepski (Shep) *** that was counter offer which was what was posted on Preds, and also processed on MFL So I am sure Clowns was under the impression he was trading for your pick Tom, not Swords pick, as that was the offer, and since I cannot find anywhere that says otherwise, the trade stands as transacted. Sorry Tom.

You are all missing the point I had two 1st round choices at the time of the trade. At that point NO ONE would now wich of MY first rounders would be better. I clearly traded a first round choice I had TWO so I choose to give him the third pick which is still MY first round draft choice. Swords has nothing to do with it - it is MY draft choice. I am getting SCREWED AGAIN.

How are you getting screwed?
You have to imply if its the 36 chamebers pick you are trading. if you dont, then its implied you traded your own pick. How is that you are getting screwed, i don tget it. When you make a trade, you cant just say well, now that its the draft coming up i am saying its the other first rounder i am trading. How does that even make sense that you coudl do that? |

Screwed again? Hmmm...not sure what you mean there...
Look back on previous trades made when a person had his own pick and someone else's in same round..it is ALWAYS specified which pick they are sending to the other team in the post - we are not privy to any conversations between the two teams...what is posted on the forums is what we go by... yes you owned both picks, but one was acquired via trade with Swords - thus we refer to it as the Swords pick... The Rules committee can chime in if they like...otherwise unless you have other documented proof of your intentions, I have to stand by my ruling

In this case it is a one slot difference but if this was 1.02 versus 1.12 that could be a big difference which is why I would think you would always want to specify which pick is being moved. Just my two cents... |

Query: In light of the recent confusion regarding draft pick trades and what is a 'natural' pick vs a pick acquired by trade, etc .. Why is there NONE of this detail in the actual Rookie Draft thread?
http://www.predsff.com/forums/showthread.php?t=15261 Which is Scorpion's 'natural' pick: 1.2 or 1.7? How did Gunslingers get 1.10 and 1.11? Wouldn't it make sense to have detail here in the actual 'Rookie Draft' thread that everyone will be looking at on a daily basis during the draft?

All trades are posted in the Trades forums - just have to go through each actual trade post to determine which picks were traded away to whom..They are supposed to have the Rookie Draft icon attached to the thread, but that isn't always done, so I try to update afterwards....but you can start with those...

Hey Burt, not the biggest deal since we don't really use the website for this stuff, but in the trade between the Scorpions and Clowns you actually moved the Clowns 1st rd pick (1.06) over instead of Grreatshepski 1st rd pick (1.02). All in all, everything is documented correctly in the forum so I don't see any issues.

Thanks Scott...rectified...but your right, it doesn't really matter now that we have it listed on Forums..just helps the owner to determine what they have when looking to trade with other teams...

Are we sure we can't keep it with Scorps getting our 1.6 instead of our 1.2?
![]() The draft pick list is correct as far as Dos Clowns is concerned.
