Burt tells me Pat stepped up with the roster app, which knowing Pat I expect will be a huge improvement.

Who's running RFA? Jim?

Who's running the draft? Is that Matt?

Is their a current draft app out there somewhere with the current draft order?

I'm working on fixing up the roster app but it's been an absolute pain and is taking forever. 4 teams have sent me the apps they used to track their teams last year so i can use for reference...haven't heard from other teams teams though. it's been a long process but i hope to have it ready by next weekend.

I'm sure you can find a couple owners on FBG, but you should get your act together first. You can't bring in someone blind with the current state of the league (frankly it looks like a complete mess, as a founding member even I couldn't figure whats what last night, a fact which greatly deterred the interest I had in potentially returning).

Get your roster and draft apps fixed, update your rules, and MFL. Then I'm sure you'll find a couple good recruits without a problem.

I hope Frenzy gets it's act together. If not, it was a good run while it lasted.

After a nights reflection, I'm going to stay "retired" so to speak.

I''m sorry for being so frank, but 2009 just looks like a shell of what we once had in the Frenzy. It was sad to look over the 2009 season other night. It just seems like nobody stepped up, everything fell on you, which is unfair. You had near absentee ownership with a couple teams it appeared. Rules looked to go unenforced (at least in a timely manner), rosters weren't kept current. Lineups weren't always submitted, It looks like a near disaster.

I know it's a free league, but it's also a league that demanded 12 committed ACTIVE owners for it to work. That's part of what made being a member of the Frenzy fun. It was colorful, it was active, it demanded the best of you and each leaguemate. Without that, you get the 2009 season.

If you get things straightened out, get the roster and draft apps current, update the rules, get other teams committed to keeping things current and helping with the operations of the league in a timely manner, AND being actively involved as it used to be in the past, I'd consider taking over one of the teams in Frenzy.

I know it's a lot to ask, and unfair that it has fallen on your shoulders as Commish, but the Frenzy was once the best of the best, our standards were high, and anything less is just not worthy of the Frenzy name.

If I play I give 100%, and expect 100% from the other leaguemates . Without that same level of commitment from the other 11 teams, however, I wouldn't be interested.

If you get things back like that, let me know, I'd love to partake in a highly competitive, fun, and active league again.

Hopefully speaking so frankly doesn't tick you off at me. I'm not trying to start anything, if the Frenzy is content with the current status of the league, then fine, I wouldn't be a good fit in the existing environment. I guess I'm just stating what my expectations would be if I were to play again.

I feel bad that I wasn't able to keep up with the roster app last season... but I don't use excel, so it was all I could do to keep my own app up to date (with the TON of moves I make in a season!).

I'm sure we'll get this back on course... just have to push the dates back a bit in the meantime.

I wouldn't say we didn't have fun last season, anyone not have a good time? I had a fun time and try to win each week. I know I don't do any of the administration piece but I kept up with my team and it was competitive until the 2nd half of the season. With that said, I do agree that sometimes its hard to locate things but when roster needed updating I did find my players on the MNF site...it wasn't as smooth as the earlier years but with everyone short on time, I believe we did a good job.

I definitely had fun last year...I think the website and app not being maintained, could have given some teams an advantage, since cut penalties were not added on the Website, so teams may have been over the cap without realizing it if they did not keep close track of everything on their own.

Once Patrick gets the App straightened out, that will stay updated. I don't think we are in danger of folding...good group we have here...

Are we still short an owner? If so I could shake the bushes in my 64 team MFL League and have them contact Burt...might be some interest in the IDP vacancy as well.

As for my team I noticed some roster probs that I would like to address.
Some of my roster shows salary figures that seem to be understated from last years rookie draft (before 2010 adjustments) such as my 2 @ 1st rounders showing $110 salaries, a number or nonactive roster players with no # of years listed and Michael Vick years should be 2 instead of 1.
If I had any unprotected roster.app I could revise the info to be checked by another to assure I am correct. Now that I can post maybe I could get one from an old post on the message board?

I don't know the details of your questions. Can you be more specific? I'd be happy to send you my copy of the roster app from last year... though I only really kept up my team. But you could make the additions/drops from the website. I know Pat is working on updating the app for the whole league, and it should be ready shortly... so you could just wait it out, too (though I'm sure you'll want to get a handle on the state of your team ASAP). Hey John,
Neither the wesbsite or App are current and up to date...the 110 salary is most likely the default on the website when players are added. You can determine the players real salary by checking which round.pick they were selected, which position they play, then take a look at the rules, under Rookie Draft to determine their starting salary last year.....this years salary would be a 10% increase over that, plus any rookie performance bonuses added in based on last years performance. Those are added to ALL players still under a rookie contract.

I'll email Patrick to see where he is at with the Roster App, and see if he can focus on both the Amish team (John has selected this team as he was first to respond) and Valencia's team, so the new owners would not have to scramble.

Jim, I can go ahead and give John access to the 2009 and 2010 MFL sites if you want.

John, as I have not had any further replies on FBG forums, go ahead and put out a feeler....we have a couple potentials in the works, but nothing definite yet, so we may need 2 more when its all said and done.\
