2009 Playoffs

Looks like one 1st round game is in the books, as the Woodland Park Pencil Neck Geeks have beaten Valencia Attack. The Geeks will go on to face the #2 seed Falcon Floyds.

The 2nd game is still up in the air as the defending champs Bay Area Bloodsuckers are trailing the Minnesota Mashers by 64+ points, but still have 3 of their top offensive players going tonight in Warner, Boldin and Gore, while the Mashers are done. The winner will go on to face the top seed, Glenside Gunslingers.

To bad some of my players numbers from this weekend can't count. Rice, Clark and Marshall all put up some solid numbers. On the flipside Rodgers was kind of a wash out. Oh, well I guess we will have to do it this week (and hopefully next as well!).

Unfortunately for me, sounds like Manning and Wayne will be lucky to play a full first half this weekend, and only one series next....so I will have to win it without relying on two of my top scorers...going to be tough for sure....

Should be interesting tonight....

Can Ray Edwards and a 35 pt lead hold off AP, Gould and Jared Allen? Who is going to win the DE battle of Edwards and Allen (will Allen make the plays or will the double teams on Allen open the door up for Edwards)? It sounds like a fun match up to determine the champion.

Thanks Burt! I wasn't sure AP and Gould were going to have enough to get me over the top last night, but it was a competitive game and they both came through for me...

I am happy to improve from runner-up status last year but it is going to be a fun off-season as I start working toward a repeat in 2010!

Congrats, Hans. Just getting back from vacation and when I saw the numbers Peterson put up I figured it was over. Still a close game and good to see the title in our division one way or the other! Now I just need to get my team in shape to knock you off in 2010!
