I PM'd him earlier today, as well. Guess we'll try again tomorrow. Problem is, I pick after him, and I'm on a 6 hour delay from the East Coast! So I don't wake up until it's close to 1pm EST. Oh well. I'm ready to pick nonetheless.

Damn are we going to wait for Sean again to pick at 3.13?
I honestly think if he hasn't made up his 3.5 pick that there should be any reason why we wait another 24 hours for him to pick at 3.13.

I sent Sean a text. Technically, the rules don't specify this, so I am going to propose a rule change. We have not had this happen since Day 1, so I guess we didn't anticipate it. Give me a couple hours to let him get a break from class to respond...

I second that emotion! ;) and the really bad news is that he will have to pick again at 4.05 too ..

OK, Sean said to give him until 4pm MDT and if no picks by then, then continue on, he is on a field trip with his class.

Sounds good. I mean I have no problem waiting another 24 hours if he hade made up his 3.5 but doesn't make sense to wait another 24 if he obviously hadn't checked in for 3 days about.

Yes Matt, you are 2 hours later than we are....which is why when your Phillies are playing the Rockies at Coors, the game is on at 5:05 pm at your house ;-)

Are you kidding or am I just getting old. If the game is a 7:05pm start in Colorado the game would start at 9:05pm here right?

....and for those in the middle (Central Time)...that would be 8:05 pm.
Now that we have the time zones mastered....back to waiting... |

I am just going to make an executive decision to pass Needles next picks unless he comes in to make his picks before the next one in line.....at this point, the picks are all throwing darts and should not have major impact on any team....

I actually think these later rounds can make or break a draft .. this is the when a team manager can make his own 'luck' .. "Luck is what happens when preparation meets opportunity" ..

Here in SACD these later picks are not useless due to IDPs but how can Needles be on the clock for their later picks if they are still technically on the clock for 3.5?

As Burt posted earlier, Needles won't be on the clock unless he makes up all of his picks before his 4th round pick comes up.

Is this common? I've seen people miss a pick once or twice but they came in shortly after to make it up. I've never seen someone basically give up. Why be in a dynasty league? The rookie draft is one of the best parts of the year.

Long story....and yes, this seems to be a problem with Needles the past couple of years ever since he went from programming to teaching...but no, it is not common and has only happened with him...we are all losing patience, but with the turnover we have had, I have been hesitant to replace him, especially since he is the one who got me into these leagues years ago and I was able to fanagle him into making picks last year, even if the majority were by proxy...

Maybe Sean should just trade his picks for players in advance of the draft...

Looks like 24 hour clock is about to expire on the Attack which would put Needles on the clock. So I guess that means that the Scorpions are up at 4.06 in about 15 minutes.

I'm not 100% sure, but I think you can enter your pick at any point.
