Red face not to pile it on, but...

It appears on my last "set lineup" configuration for this week, I inadvertently forgot to click my one and only Kicker, so he got left off my scoring. I'm not worried about adjusting my official score... I only bring this to the attention of the Dodgers when they make "week 9 notes" (in case my Opihi were anywhere near an all-time team high score, please add in my kicker!).

Anywhere near an all-time high? Yes, you were near, but fell just short. Your kicker was the difference between having the 3rd all time highest score, and 2nd all time highest score. You currently have the 2nd highest score ever, so I'll leave the score as is for record purposes since it is the official score. The all time high score record is safe and secure for another week.

Oh, who set the all time score record you ask? That's right, it was the Dodgers scoring 191.75 points way back in week 5 of the 2002 season. Thanks for giving me the opportunity to points that out.

Speaking of scoring issues, the San Diego defense did not get credit for their field goal attempt return touchdown. I believe this should be part of the scoring since the rules docs simply states "any Defensive or Special Teams touchdown" is 6 points.

I was more concerned with an all-time OPIHI record. Looks like that would have happened. I adjusted my lineup a couple of times this week... and did the last one just a few minutes before I had to get to church for worship, so in my rush I failed to get the Kicker box checked. Anyway... no biggie.

Oh yah, congrats on being the all-time single-game scoring leader!

Sheesh, I go over 100 points (after tonight) and I STILL get my score almost doubled up.

Congrats Jim, heck of a game. Thanks for making me NOT spend the next week beating myself up for playing Henry over Graham and leaving 22 extra points on the bench!

I knew fate was against me when your one week pickup defense scored 28 points. C'mon, that's ridiculous!

However, I did get to see Adrian Peterson's record-setting performance in person as you were crushing me, so that softened the blow. That was AWESOME! I've never seen the entire Metrodome chat one player's name (except for Kirby Puckett). I think the Vikes' management is going to ride this boy to the tune of a new stadium.

Then again, the fact that I could (should) have drafted AP means I'll be in "beating myself up" mode for the next 4.5 years. At least Cedric "Jason traded AP to get ME???" Benson and I can get together to watch the playoffs, since neither of our teams will be playing.

Wow... seeing Peterson's record-setting game must have been amazing.

As for the Detroit D... I was sorta downplaying the fact that it was Detroit, but I actually put a bit of research into that "bye week pickup." I'm glad it paid off.

Now, who wants a cheap D coming off a 28 point performance?!!?

Hey Jason,
I watched the game on TV. You could tell the place was rock'n. Must have been a ball to be there.
Now to the subject at hand. I still think I over paid for the trade w/the screw up and all. I am glad to see a prediction come together. I was very high on A.P. and was glad to see that a lot of people were not as convinced as myself.
A.P. is a full grown man and should be a top RB for the next few years. Should make being a Minny fan a lot more tolerable for you.
Bottom line... I just wanted to publicly thank you for making the trade.. He is a fun person to have on a fantasy team. OK... Now I am just rubbing it in..
Thanks again,
Late

Peterson is good enough to make me quit fantasy football. I watched a lot of the game, but got absolutely zero enjoyment out of it. I spent half the time kicking myself for starting Rivers against what was supposed to be a putrid Viking pass defense, and the other half kicking myself for not trading for him in SAC'D.

I remember back in Moss' prime, and I thought he was a once in a lifetime talent, and we'll never have another player like that on the team again. Once again, I was wrong. Hopefully Peterson, unlike Moss, doesn't peak his rookie season.

And all it would have cost you was a 1st rd pick and Lynch!

Thanks for passing up the offer!

There's a cruel, cruel irony in the fact that Brian and I led the "AP is the real deal" argument in the off-season, while Mike lead the "AP is overrated" charge, yet Mike has AP and we don't. Some things just ain't right. We won the argument, you get the spoils.

Phooey!!!!

I too spent a fair amount of time on Sunday thinking how much FF bastardizes the game and how much more I could appreciate having this guy on the Vikings if I wasn't playing

To be fair, that Marshawn Lynch kid is playing pretty well too. I think we were both right in the end. ADP surprised me by exceeding the hype, however, Marshawn has shown exactly what I thought he'd be, a reliable, tough, productive runner.

I'm not sure how we could both be right. You said you'd rather have Lynch (and only ended up with Peterson because I didn't fold to your strong arm tactics). Peterson is otherworldly, while Lynch is pedestrian (based on the numbers to this point.
