The Parkwood Predators have tied their worst record after 8 weeks at 5-3, done previously in 2003 and 2005. Their 79.3 points was the 4th lowest score in team history.

The Philadelphia Freedom have their best record after 8 weeks ever at 5-3. Their 52.7 points was the 2nd lowest score in team history, better only than their 52.55 points in week 5 last season.

The Royal Hawaiian Opihi's 185.4 was a team record, surpassing their previous best of 173.95 points in week 4 last season. It also was the 2nd highest score in league history, behind only the Nittany Dodgers' 191.75 points in week 5 of the 2002 season. Michael Vick's 37.7 points was the 4th highest QB score in team history. Marques Colston's 31.3 points was the 5th highest WR score in team history. Desmond Clark's 23.6 points was the 2nd highest TE score in team history, behind only Jeremy Shockey's 25.7 points in week 12 last season. The Opihi/Insects game was the highest scoring game in league history, combining for 339.65 points, surpassing the 325.15 points scored by the Squirrel Chasers over the Opihi in week 7 of the 2002 season. Jason Elam passed Adam Vinatieri to move into 5th place all time among Frenzy kickers, with 387.9 points in 45 games for a 8.6 average. The Opihi passed the Predators for 1st place all time with 125.1 points per game, to the Predators 124.7. Eddie Kennison passed Derrick Mason to become the Opihi's 3rd all time leading receiver with 178.2 points in 16 games for a 11.1 average in 2002 and 2005-06 for the Opihi.

The Soap Box Derby Cars have their best record after 8 weeks at 5-3. Chicago's 16 points tied the 8th highest D score in Derby Car history. The Chicago D passed the Philadelphia D to become the Derby Cars all time leading defense with 122 points in 7 games for a 17.4 average. Andre Johnson passed Joey Galloway to become the Derby Cars' 2nd all time leading receiver with 181.55 points in 14 games for a 13.0 average from 2005-06.

The Jersey Toxic Waste have tied their best record after 8 weeks at 5-3, done previously in 2003 and 2005. Their 141.75 points was the 6th highest score in team history. Tom Brady's 39 points was the 4th highest QB score in team history, and highest since Donovan McNabb had 47.55 points in week 13 of the 2004 season. Ben Watson's 19 points was the 5th highest TE score in team history. Tom Brady passed Aaron Brooks to move into 6th place all time among Frenzy QBs with 859.6 points in 38 games for a 22.6 average. The Toxic Waste won their 30th career game joining the Predators (56-22), Opihi (40-24), Undead (33-23), Wonder Mutts (39-39), Squirrel Chasers (44-34), Nittany Dodgers (32-32), Insects (37-41), and Urza's Ragers (36-42).

The Wonder Mutts improved to 4-2 lifetime against the Predators, the most wins by any franchise against the Predators.

The Bay Area Bloodsucking Insects have tied their worst record after 8 weeks at 3-5. Their 154.25 points was the 4th highest score in team history. LaDanian Tomlinson's 49.75 points was the 2nd highest RB score in team history, and 8th highest in league history. Kellen Winslow's 17.1 points was the 2nd highest TE score in team history, behind only Eric Johnson's 28.7 points in week 5 of the 2004 season. New England's 16 points tied the 8th highest D score in team history.

The Brain Dead Squirrel Chasers have tied their worst record after 8 weeks at 3-5, done previously in 2004. Their 72.8 points was the 4th lowest score in team history.

The Nittany Dodgers' 168.55 points was the 3rd highest score in team history, and the 16th highest score in league history. Reggie Wayne's 38.8 points was the highest WR score in team history, surpassing Nate Burleson's 26.95 points in week 10 of the 2004 season. It also was the 10th highest WR score in league history. Reggie passed Deion Branch to become the Nittany Dodgers 2nd all time leading receiver with 230.2 points in 16 games for a 14.4 average from 2005-06. Baltimore's 24 points tied the 4th highest D score in team history. Alge Crumpler passed Antonio Gates to move into 4th place all time among Frenzy tight ends with 436.1 in 50 games for a 8.7 average.

The Urza's Ragers' 178.7 points was their highest score ever, surpassing their previous best of 156 set in week 10 of the 2002 season. It also was the 5th highest score in league history. Drew Brees' 35.15 points was the 6th highest QB score in team history, and highest since Drew had 35.85 points in week 12 of the 2004 season. Larry Johnson's 52.85 points was the highest RB score in team history, surpassing Jamal Lewis' previous team record of 49 points set in week 2 of the 2003 season. It also was the 6th highest RB score in league history. Jason Witten's 17 points was the 4th highest TE score in team history. The Ragers' victory margin over the Freedom of 126 points was the 2nd highest margin in league history, behind only the Squirrel Chasers' 128.4 margin over the Wonder Mutts in week 8 of the 2003 season. The NY Jets D passed the Carolina D to become the Ragers' all time leading D with 113 points in 17 games for a 6.7 average in 2003 and 2005-06.

Wow... I knew it was a record-setting performance this past week for the OPIHI, but I didn't realize HOW record-setting it was. Even though we're now the highest-scoring Frenzy Team in the league (on an all-time weekly average), it don't mean squat with out that trophy... we'll keep pushing forward toward the prize.

(Thanks for the update, as usual!)

PS. Insects, great game this past week. I've been on the losing end of before, even with a high-octane offensive output. It's no fun. But thanks for the very competative game.

I tried my best to win the game, but ran into you during your best week. I HATE YOU!
