Default Rookie Coach Looking for 1st win

AP - Coon Rapids, MN 9:36 pm Saturday September 30th

With a poor September behind the Amish Rake Fighters, Coach Joel Nydam is looking for his first win. The team has struggled with many issues ranging from the star wideout "alledgedly" trying to committ suicide, RB by committee issues that are not working, and TE's who refuse to show up at gametime.

As the coaching staff regrouped for a week 4 matchup vs. Bay Area B. I's, cuts were made and the first FA pickups were made. The staff was excited with the upbeat attitude of the players in the midst of the losing streak.

As week 4 is only one day away, anxiousness for the first win was evident as Coach Nydam stated, "We take this one week at a time, hoping for the matchup that suits our team best. Sunday's matchup should be a grind it out match much like the ole black and blue division! I'm hoping for the best!"

We'll see in a few days how the Amish fared as they put in yeoman's work on Sunday.

A day after another loss, the Amish Rake Fighters are looking for some answers. Coach Nydam is on the the hot seat as Dan Patrick asked him "Will Manning or Owens be around in the next few weeks as you are looking for answers? Are the players to blame or is it the coach?" In response Nydam stated, "We PLAY TO WIN THE GAME, WE PLAY TO WIN THE GAME!!" Patrick then asked "What do you think your chances are of making a gigantic comeback and reaching the playoffs?" Nydam just stared and in a high raising voice asked "Playoffs??? Playoffs?????"

Does this mean that the starting QB will be traded? Will more changes be made to the lineup. Will the distracting WR be benched or shipped away?

Another week will tell!

This is where the young rookie GM learns that the cap can be VERY restricting when it comes to trades... and often leads to what traditional leagues would view as 1 sided deals just to clear space or dump a salary!

This is where it gets fun. Rebuild your team in your image Joel.

FWIW... I thought you'd win your division... you still could IMO. The last 4 regular season games are HUGE... all division games. Get yourself to .500 by then and anything is poissible!

Good luck my man!
