1.14 QB Alex Smith, SF
Hard time choosing between him and another guy I hadn't expected to drop this far... but why take the 9th RB or 5th WR when I can get the #1 QB in this draft class? I'm willing to give him the time he (and his coaching staff, and the rest of his offense) will need to mature.

I like Alex Smith a lot, he's very well spoken and intelligent. I do not expect him to bust ala a Ryan Leaf, and neither does he. He did a great interview on Rome's show a week or so ago. Very impressive.
