Off we go to another unexpected and nail-biting weekend in the Frenzy Football League. I’m not looking at the history of the teams or league (don’t have it anyway). So, I just look at the match-ups and go with my guts…
** Week nine roster page is not available, so if I pick someone (generally last week’s roster) you are not starting, you can file a complaint (not telling you with whom or how). Byes this week: Atlanta, Jacksonville, Green Bay & Tennessee. We’ll start this week with Jersey TW (2-6) going against the Brain Dead SC (3-5). Prediction: Comes down to whether Randy Moss plays or not. If he doesn’t, hands down to Waste. Having no DT hurts Chasers a bit. Heck, I’ll take Waste either way. Next up is Wonder Mutts (6-2) versus Nittany Dodgers (3-5): Prediction: Upset of the Week – Dodgers slow the Mutts down a bit… Royal Hawaiian Opihi (5-3) against SB Derby Cars (2-6): Prediction: Cars, check out the waiver wire…there’s gotta be a RB somewhere!!! This one to Opihi Philly Freedom (3-5) facing off against Liquid Swords (5-3). Prediction: Freedom celebrate, I picking Swords (come on, you think I’d choose you Freedom when you have to start Fiedler???) Now Parkwood Predators (6-2) tackle the BA Bloodsucking Insects (3-5): Prediction: Insects are better than their record, but even Alexander and Portis can’t pull one out for them….Preds Finally, Indiana Undead (5-3) clash with Urza’s Ragers (5-3): Prediction: Game of the week. We have play-off implications here!!! Will return of Jamal Lewis be enough to push Ragers past the Undead??? Can either Plummer or Brees repeat Week 8 numbers??? Will Priest Holmes get another 4 TDs this week? Only time will tell. Personally, I think Undead have the edge w/ loss of Fred Taylor for the Ragers. I didn’t have all the stats and that’s how I see it. Tank D’Season will once again return Tues for the wrap-up. |

Freedom, the answer is simple...no magic. In fact, I'm only semi-adept at the computer.
I write the article in Word (adding color/fonts/etc), then copy and paste it to the web site. Simple solution for a simple person (I don't want to make things harder than they are for me anyway) |

Thanks, but when I paste it over from Word it losses color. In fact I use , for bold and similar designations since these don't seem to transfer either. I am guessing this has something to do with settings (either on the board or on my machine).
Mike, do you do the same thing Rami does or do you use "codes"? If you do it with codes can you share a couple for colors so I can incorporate them into my pieces. Thanks! Last edited by Philadelphia Freedom; November 5th, 2004 at 08:33 AM. |

Didn't we have to turn the WYSIWYG editor off on your account for some reason? That's the easiest wasy to add color and special effects like bolding and underlining. Go to your User Control Panel, and click on the Edit Options link. Scroll to the very bottom where it says Miscellaneous Options, and see which interface you're using. There are 3 choices... Basic Interface - (probably what your using)... with this editor you need to insert your own BB tags like [ b ] text [ /b ] for bold text, [ u ] text [ /u ] for underlining text, and [ color=green ] text [ /color ] for colors, etc. (note, I inserted extra spaces in bewtween the [ ] above so that the codes wouldn't work and you could see what I was saying) Enhanced Interface - a full WYSIWYG edito like Microsoft Word. You can bold, underline, etc. with the same key commands used in Word, or via the drop down boxes. You can also easily change text colors, fonts, and font sizes by using the drop down boxes in the toolbar. Standard Interface - kind of a merge between the basic editor and the Enhanced editor. It has more drop down features than the basic, but isn't true WYSIWYG like the enhanced interface. Basically try them all, and see which works best for you. One negative to the Enhanced Editor is cutting and pasting from other programs like Word. Word has all kinds of hidden tags, and thus it can overload the editor when you paste. Smaller documents are usually OK, but larger docs with a lot of pictures or colors sometimes won't work. If you're writing something outside of the board, it's best to save it as a .txt doc without any formatting with an editor like Notepad, then paste it onto your post, and use the Enhanced Editor tools to format it the way you prefer. We did (though I can’t recall why) and the tags you provided work great. Thanks!
