Default Sam's Week 4 Notes

After a brief one week hiatus, Sam is back and here are the notes for week 4:

The Jersey Toxic Waste have started the season 0-4 for the second time (2002). They have lost seven straight regular season games, dating back to last season, tying a team record.

Terrell Owen’s 21 points was the 10th highest wide receiver score in Wonder Mutt’s history. Antonio “Dirty Socks” Gates’ 15.2 points was the 4th highest tight end score in Mutt’s history. Jay Feely’s 10.7 points was the 10th highest kicker score in team history.

The Bay Area Bloodsucking Insects are off to a 3-1 start for the third time in four Frenzy seasons. Wow... this is the FIRST year that the Predators are 4-0? With the way Mike talks about his team, you'd think they've been undefeated all 4 years (just joshin', Mike). And my OPIHI have been 3-1 for 3 of 4 years? WOW. I still pretty much think of my team as one of the league "underdogs" (I know, Matt, it's all relative, right?!)... guess that's what comes from being in the East division (or is it the Walter Payton division now?).

Lol, you can't win them all Jim!

However, I do believe (and I'm sure Brian will RELUCTANTLY confirm) that my Predators have more wins than any other franchise in the Frenzy)!

Just out of curiosity Brian... who are the top 4 or 5 teams in terms of all time wins?

I'd guess

Predators
Squirrels
Insects
Undead
Opihi?

Yes, yes, all hail Mike and his league leading 35 wins. I will point out that the Squirrel Chasers have the most points lifetime, and what I think that shows us is that Mike's win record is more of a product of the notoriously easy Eastern Division, while Joe has faced much stiffer competition in the West. :whistle

Whoops, and just to add the leaders in wins:

Preds 35-10
Squirrel Chasers 31-14
Undead 26-19
Insects 24-21
Opihi 24-21

Everyone else is under .500.

Notoriously easy? Nice try... the East has 3 monster clubs as can be seen by the fact that 3 of the top 5 Frenzy Teams all time come from the East (poor Matt ) !

Also, I think your missing a week in your calculations (maybe this past week), as by my count I have a regular season record of 36-10 and a playoff record of 4-2, for a lifetime record (counting Playoffs) of 40 wins :thumbsup!

:bow :helmet :thankyou

So THERE ;)!!!!!

Mike, while you obviously have great fantasy football skills, I think I need to give you a lesson in sarcasm detection.

BTW, double check your math and give me the 36th regular season win (40th counting playoffs) I know I've earned ;)

But of course... I'm proud of my Frenzy accomplishments (i.e. see my sig ;)), particularly since the East is such a rugged Division!

Oh yes I have a winning record. ALthough I think it would should be two or three games on the win column because the first year I went AWOL for like 3 or 4 weeks, b/c I had not realized the league switched servers and thus everytime I logged on I was in week 4. I had thought the league fell of the face of the earth until Mike contacted me.

Good thing that happened or else I'd miss the best league, Ive ever been in.

You know what, the Frenzy REALLY HAS grown into a fantastic league with a great group of guys.

In the past, it was the off-season participation that was awesome, but this year it seems the in-season commentary and posts are better than ever! :thumbsup

I'm hopeful we can keep this group together and keep the Frenzy running for a LONG LONG time!

I also think it's be real cool to do a get together with as many leaguemates as possible.
In fact, Kyle, (Jersey) is likely having a stag party in Vegas next June or July... it'd be way cool if we could get a bunch of the league together to meet and party together!

A buddy of mine is doing his bachelor party in Vegas next summer. That would be awesome if they coinsided. I wonder how much my percieved personalities of the various owners would change upon meeting? I think everyone would have to wear a shirt with their helmet on so I would know who was who. I think I'm up to knowing six teams by their owners name instead of team name now. :bag
