Interesting that he got paid so much and the amount guaranteed...5 years $100 million with $61M guaranteed...now the fallout...

Does Gordon think he is worth at least that much to his team??? Does Julio take less with his promised new deal??? What about Amari??? And Zeke...a teammate of Thomas at THE Ohio State, is he worth that kind of dough???

The price of football is going up gentlemen and that includes fantasy football...especially our league where we have to decide on years of contracts with these spoiled athletes...

Cards already had an entire season lost to a holdout(Bell)...who is next??? Yeah, and there is no relief in sight...you better believe a QB is on the horizon to be in the hold out camp...

Now fantasy impacts go farther...UFAs are locked at some price or another right now and some are in better position than others...I see several getting multiple year contracts for older players because, well, the price is too good not to...other young guys are gonna keep getting minimal years because they are too volatile...but, there are always owners willing to take a chance on a breakout season...

I gotta tell ya...cap space seems to be the most valuable commodity in the NFL and Frenzy more than ever...

Not sure how I feel about my boy Thomas getting 20 mil a year. I hope he goes out and continues to show he's worth that, but that kind of money is big pressure on a player to perform.

The Gordon holdout is what it is. Have to hop he realizes he will LOSE millions by holding out half the season. It didn't end well for Bell, and won't for Gordon either should he stupidly hold out past camp.

We do have Justin Jackson to share the load with Eckler in the even of a Gordon holdout. Also have Rashaad Penny pushing to start in Seattle, even if Gordon does sit we should have viable options to stay as competitive as we can considering the cap constraints of Gordon sitting out. If he does hold out, well, we'll take out lumps and do our best with the rest of the roster. Cards dealt with it last year, we may have to this year. Time will tell.

On the plus side, our rookie RB Devin Singletary is getting 1st team reps and rave reviews from coaches and players at camp. He may do better than many anticipated.

PS Chuck, weren't you advocating for a DNR reserve slot for Frenzy rosters... or is that my imagination (wish) now that it's my Preds. ;)

Singletary has a realistic shot at starting this year...Gore is pretty much done, and I don't think McCoy has that much left in the tank.

RB position in fantasy is so elusive nowadays, with so many teams knowing there are so many decent options out there, just draft 1 or 2 every year, and rotate them in. I guess Fantasy owners need to take same mindset..just pick up several in later rounds every year, and hope you get a decent year out of them...

Gore has looked good in Camp. Dude is ageless. McCoy is on the bubble, he either starts or gets cut/traded IMO. TJ Yeldon is on the outside looking in thus far.
