I'm confused. In this thread it says Dogs gets Cards natural 3rd round pick. Since the trade with Burt involved natural 2nd or 3rd from Cards and Cards gave up natural 3rd here...shouldn't Burt automatically receive Cards natural 2nd by default? Maybe I'm missing something?

I would think Chickens /Cards trade was made 1st, so Chickens have priority on Cards 3rd round pick.

Actually...Bobby can have the best 3rd rounder I have after the dust settles...even if Burt gets my 2nd rounder, then I will have 2 3rd rounders....Bobby will get which ever is better...

The"natural 3rd" is the Cards natural 3rd (not someone else's natural 3rd), but whatever...these pick trades are a mess already why not muddy it even more. I don't even know what to put in the pick trades anymore...you guys figure it out. You need to work on your wording of these trades.

the "natural" wording through me off at first as well. I now understand it means picks 1-12, aka not a comp pick. In the past when natural was used it meant the teams natural pick, thus my confusion as well.

The a non-comp pick needs to be used. "Natural" is that team's natural pick, not some other team's natural pick.

Have we settled this 3rd round pick business yet??? Burt gets my 2nd round pick and I get his 3rd rounder...Bobby is entitled to my original 3rd rounder...but I am willing to give up the 3rd rounder from Burt because of the confusion...now if there are some sort of penalties involved due to some infraction I am not aware of, all bets are off and he can have my original 3rd rounder and I will keep Burts 3rd rounder...just let me know so I can draft plan...thanks...

I believe John started the 'natural' pick term, and it meant the 'owners' own pick...not a traded pick, or a comp pick. So since Chuck still has his own 3rd rounder, this is what should go to Bobby, since its still available.

Sorry. I started "natural" pick to distinguish a 1-12 pick and not a comp pick (13+).
How about from now on I say "non-comp" if still allowed to specify in trade?

Sounds good. "Natural" to me is the original position in the draft, not including trades or comps. "Non-comp" works if there's an additional pick in that round, via trade.
