Thursday March 31st at 11:59pm - 2004 Soft Cap Period Ends

Friday April 1st at 12:00am - 2005 Hard Cap Period Begins & 4th year Taxi Squad members rollover to Active Squad.

Friday April 1st at 12:00am - 2005 RFA Bidding Opens

Saturday April 30th at 11:59pm - 2005 RFA Bidding Closes

Monday May 9th at 12:00am (the 2nd Monday in May each year) this allows about 3 weeks for the NFL draft to be evaluated - 2005 Rookie Draft Begins

June 1st at 12:00am - this date will also be somewhat flexible in that as it would not open until 48 hours after the rookie draft has been completed - Opening of the UFA period

Not exactly, we unanimously rolled back those dates last off-season.

PASSES 12-0 - Frenzy Schedule Shift of Key Dates Proposal
With the NFL having moved the draft and schedule announcements back in recent years, I'd like to propose that Frenzy alter our timelines a bit.

1 - Make the Official roll-over to the new season May 1st, instead of April 1st.

2 - Push back the RFA period to start May 1 and end May 31 with declarations due by April 23,

3 - Push back the rookie draft to start June 1st each year.

4 - Push back the start of UFA to the 1st Monday after the Rookie Draft is complete.

These changes will allow time for the NFL to release schedules and byes and for the league and owners to plan accordingly BEFORE declaring RFA's. The push back will also allow teams additional time to evaluate rookies before drafting.
