OPIHI promote QB Bulger and release TE Miller

The Royal Hawaiian Opihi proudly announce the promotion of newly starting Ram QB, Marc Bulger, to active duty!!! To make room for him on the roster, we'd like to give TE Billy Miller (HOU) his walking papers. "Aloha means goodbye!" Thanks for your service to the team, Billy. :toast:

The release of Billy Miller, and Jay Feeley earlier, causes you to be in violation of the mandatory 5 slots filled by TE/K/D. This should be corrected as soon as possible, and Mike will need to make a ruling on the penalty.

I'm going to try to update the roster app this afternoon. If Jim is indeed under the 5 man requirement for TE/K/D and 24 hours has passed he will be assessed a 500cb penalty as per the rules.

I'll know more on this after I update the app and verify if indeed he is under the limit.

As per the rules, a 500 cb penalty HAS been assessed against the Opihi for violating the 5 man requirement among TE/K/D past the 24 hour grace period.

The Opihi must get back to 5 players among these positions ASAP, however, the cap penalty will not be lifted.

If no action is taken to get back to the 5 player TE/K/D minimum within a reasonable time frame the board will be forced to consider further penalties.

Shucks... totally forgot about that rule... and I've been sporadic on getting internet access, due to being here in Phoenix for a conference.

I see a couple of options here... want to float them by the rules committee...

My Bulger promotion could be "undone" (I could place him back on the development squad, since I never had a chance to start him yet... then I can pickup a TE on Monday...)...

Or, I can just wait until Monday and pickup another player to get myself "legal"...

Either way, I'll abide by the 500 penalty (since I screwed up).

Let me know ASAP re: Bulger (cause he's set to start this weekend, but I'll pull him off if that's the best option).

I would say that since you've already activated Bulger you can't undo it. So just pickup another TE/K/D in the next few days to get back to the legal limit and you'll be fine.

I guess we'll have to look at this incident as a momentary lapse of your usually rock solid team management

Yeah, I agree. You're taking the cap hit, so I don't see any reason you can't use the players involved.

Okay... I'll pick up someone on Tuesday, when we open the bidding again. It's this trip that's messed up my "rock solid management skills"! lol As much as I'm loving getting away, and having an awesome conference (I even got to play golf today!), I'm a bit discombobulated by not having regular internet access (and the time to take my time!).
