Franchise Player contract?
It is not clear in the rules, and I am not sure anyone has ever tried to give a Franchise player more than one year.
They are automatically assigned one year right? We cannot give them multi year deals? I am assuming its like NFL, one year deal only

A one year contract is my understanding, however I don't always understand correctly. I would be agreeable for multi year contract for franchise players. When JJ Watt's contract expired I did a search and it looked like 1 year was the norm.

One year makes sense to me.. I believe that would properly mimic the NFL franchise tag..

OK, makes sense.
And since the rules state "The franchised players salary will count against the teams cap, starting April 1st." - we do not need to post their contract in our declarations, since they were already assigned to our active roster.
