Going against the grain here and taking the best TE in the draft. The experts say Ebron is the guy, I'm betting they are wrong this time.

I was targeting him for 1.12, didn't expect he'd go quite so early, heck, 1.12 would be considered early by many.

He's a good TE with huge upside. Definitely an "out of the box" pick... but you get your guy! (And you're right, he wasn't on my short list! lol)

I was hopping to get him at 1.14 but knew for a fact he wouldn't make it past 1.11

Unless you feared Burt moving up from 1.11, why not sit tight at 1.09? Odds were high (at least IMO) he'd be there.

There was always a chance Burt could move up since he still had his 1.11 pick to work with. Also no one else wanted to trade with me. I tried to trade with Nathan and Patrick to move up to take Matthews. I offered Patrick the same deal as Burt only 2014 picks.

I suspect my message to Patrick didn't go through since I didn't get a reply.

Yeah I did not get a message from you, unless you sent it via email which I haven't kept up with over the past few days.

I sent the trade to Burt. I'm not really excited about prospects for this year but 2015 looks to be much better at this point.
