Not sure how 1025 for Brady is over-paying. I am a new guy so maybe you know better than I, but you may be wrong also...island fever maybe? Just checking...

Well, my thinking was, a BIG part of their offense was TE play...he not only lost one big TE, he lost two. I am counting on Gronk being back in a big way, and at least one of the younger WR to step it up this year. I think Brady still has something left in the tank, and while he may not have a top 3 year, I fully expect his numbers to be better than last year - and last year were not horrible.

The assumption there is that Gronk will actually be on the field. They're in just a tad bit of a contract dispute, Gronk is most likely gone as a UFA after the season and isn't too motivated to play for Belichek with all of his nagging injuries. Now if the Pats pay up to his contract demands, I'm sure all those little ailments will fade away, but that looks very unlikely to happen.

Of course I was being a bit over-dramatic.
I don't think Brady will be horrible.
But I don't think he'll be top 3, either.

It was more than I was willing to pay for him. That's all.

Agreed..I just don't have complete faith in either Manning or Bradford, so getting a third option, I am hoping one of the bunch will get me decent points. I think I have enough in other positions to compete with a top 10 QB. If he has gone much higher, even 1200, I most likely would have let him go.
