According to the rules, the weekend bid clock for UFA is 72 hours for bids placed Friday-Sunday. This is still in effect, correct? I know this wasn't the way we did it for RFAs, but I'm not sure if that was because of the short period, or because we changed it unilaterally, and I forgot.

That's my understanding. RFA are on a 48-hour clock all week. UFAs switch to the 72-hour clock from Friday to Sunday.
Enjoy the weekend!

I can understand the rules was designed for people away for the weekend...but 48 hours is a long enough clock INMHO.

It allows folks to be gone over the weekend, and not have to scramble to find internet access when we should be hanging with our family! But I know it's tough in the middle of UFA signing... still, the season's a long ways away... we've got time.

see I could understand that if t he clock was 24 hours...but the clock is a long 48 hours, having bids take a whole other day if they happen on a fri, sat, or sunday seems a tad excessive when you are already at 48 hours...
I think a 24 hour clock wit h the down weekend would make more sense personally. |

We're what, 4 months from the start of the season? Why are people in such a hurry to get through signing all their free agents?
Try a little patience. I don't know about you, but I have a lot better things to do on the weekend then have to check in and see what Marcus Robinson has been bid up to. |
