IR classification - injury status
Should a player be IR eligible only between the publication of the official NFL injury report (usually Wednesday) and the end of that week's NFL slate of games... or ANYTIME in the course of a season that the aforementioned player was listed as "doubtful/questionable/out"?
Seems we should discuss this one further. Lots of good input in 3 previous valiant attempts to create a poll. Let me throw out potential poll options: 1) Use only current weeks NFL Injury Status report (for teams on Bye week, would be previous weeks report) 2) Use any NFL Injury Status report published since week 1 3) Use current plus the prior weeks NFL Injury Status report for all players, including those on bye week

Definitely don't like #2 option... it's a loophole for stashing players on IR when it's convenient. Does option #3 mean only TWO weeks of injury reports can be used? I'd probably lean towards that.

Right Jim...2 weeks..the current week plus the prior week for ALL players..option one is only using prior week for players on a bye week.
Anyone else have other options to consider? I just threw these out to begin discussion

Then #2 is the way to go, in my mind. I really don't like teams being able to "retro IR" players whenever it's most convenient for their squad. Do it when your player is really injured... or don't do it at all.
