The Gunslingers are happy to announce that they have reached a contact extension with Demorrio Williams. Williams who finished the 2005 season as the eighth ranked LB in the league was a player who the Gunslingers feel they can build their LB corps around.
He will see his 2 year $150 contract extended to a three/four year* deal with a $300 pay raise heading into 2006. With the regular 10% increase and the $300 raise I think his salary for 2006 should be $495 (then $545 in 2007 and $600 in 2008).
*Since this is new to me I am putting the same language in as the Mutts. (Since this is technically 2005, I'm not sure if I need to give them 3 or 4 year deal - my intention is for him to be carrying a 3 year contracts going into the 2006 season which will keep him with the Gunslingers through 2008.)
Also, the extra 2 years to cover this move should be there since Mike Rumph (and his two year deal) was recently cut.
If I am misunderstanding how this idea works please let me know.
