Yesterday?
Do yesterday's announcements need to be formalized? If so, are those teams aware of this?

Yes, they should be formalized by the Toxic Waste and Vagrants.
Jersey is probably on his way to work right now. As soon as he posts his official pick the Undead can post theirs, and then we can move on to the realm of the unknown with the Ragers at 1.3. Rich is on the West Coast, so we may not see that pick till noon or so, maybe later. The Opihi at 1.4 are 6 hours back of the East Coast, however Jim's a nut and my bet is he'll be up around 6am Hawaii time (noon eastern) checking in. Hopefully we'll be able to crash through round 1 today.

Good deal
That works for me. I will be in meetings from 9:30 until about noon EST but will continue to check in after that.

Goodnight!
It's 11:56pm Hawaiian Standard Time. We've finished round one... and I guess the league has gone to bed for the night. I'm going now myself. Will be getting up around 6:30am HST (12:30pm EST). I'm ready to make my 2.5 selection. But depending on how the draft shakes down from 2.1-2.4, I might be willing to trade down a few spaces. Send me an email... I'll check it first thing in the (Hawaiian) morning!
Peace. |

Those were the good old days! (sigh)
I was so eager to wake up and make my 2.5 pick... but have discovered NO MOVEMENT in the draft (sigh). I guess the "good old days" of an entire round of selections being made in a day are gone. Here's hoping the second "half" of this day picks up!

Now we're moving!
All right! Way to get this DAY TWO draft jump started!
I've got one more hour (until about 9:15am HST) of online time... then I'll be in meetings for 3 hours (9:30am - 12:30pm). So if the Ragers and Freedom are able to pick quickly, I'll make my selection before the 9:30am meeting starts! Otherwise, I'll be back online around 6:30pm EST to make selection 2.5. Peace & aloha! |

No Freedom
Jim, it will actually be the Ragers and Jersey Toxic Waste. Jersey traded me 2.1 for 2.4, so I am off the hook for a while!

OOps!
Sorry to drag you into this Matt... you're right! But the Ragers have already picked (speedy!)... so now we're only waiting on the Toxic Waste. Way to go gang!

Wells was the top back remaining on my draft board. I think he has a shot at being able to beat out Allen by mid-season.

Was it that shocking?
Hmm... I seem to have singlehandedly silenced the message boards with my selection of Caldwell.
Looking forward to seeing this draft back up and running! |

Stunning
Such a stunning pick it left us all silent. BTW, do the Wyverns now that they are on?

Come on people, lets keep this draft moving. I can finally see my first pick coming up on the horizon. I'm anxious to make that pick so the second guessing and criticism can begin!

Time is a wastin'
Anyone now if Detroit has computer access during the day? We seem to have hit portion of the draft where we get a couple of picks and then a couple of hours off.

Well, I'm about to head home for the weekend. I'll try to get on and check once or twice to see if I'm up yet for my last pick. Otherwise, I'm sorry to make you wait bloodsuckers, but I won't be on until Monday. Of course if my time runs out you can go ahead of me and I'll do my pick Monday morning.

Question
I know it it the weekend (actually it is beautiful in suburban Philly this weekend) but when do we go from the 24 clock to the 48 hour clock? Are the Wyverns still on or have they missed their pick?

Hate to break the news to you guys, but Kyle is presently out of town (he was in Buffalo this weekend for my sons 1st Communion, and is also celebrating his 1 year anniversary with his girlfriend in Niagara Falls). I know they're driving back to Jersey on Monday because he has a meeting at 6:30pm, however I'm not sure if he'll be checking in at all on Monday.
He has 48 hours to make his pick, so we may not be comencing Round 3 until Tuesday morning (unless I am able to contact him on his cell phone for his pick, of which I have no idea who he's considering). Just thought you all should know.

Slowly but surely
It seems like we are slowly moving along. A couple of questions: What exactly are the timing rules? What is the weekend? Can we clarify this, since we will be hitting a couple of holiday weekends soon and bidding could be interupted or people could be away for vacations? Also, has anyone e-mail the Wyverns about their being on the clock (or now off the clock)?
Let's get thing rolling again and see if the Toxic Waste are ready to pick when they return from Nigarra Falls. |

Well Matt,
If you read this thread (posted before the draft opened) http://www.vbb.predatorsfootball.com...=&threadid=166 you would know that we set a 48 hour clock for all picks made on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Monday thru Thursday is a 24 hour clock. Make sense !

Sort of
I read the post I was just not sure if that meant picks made or to be made. If a pick (say 2.11) is made on Thursday does that give the next person (pick 2.12) 48 hours or 24 hours?

If the last pick was made on a Thursday, the next team in line would have 24 hours.
If the last pick is made on a Friday, Saturday or Sunday, the team next in line would have 48 hours. Is that clearer? I'm telling you Matt, we'ge got to send you to law school ! You are always keeping me busy by analyizing things to the most minute detail !

That will stop soon
Boredom, is an incredible motiovator. However, I will soon be switching jobs and will probably not have excessive time to spend posting and questioning things (I know you will be happy Mike!!) Anyways, law school always did sound somewhat appealing. Of course it will be at least 3 years until the MBA is done and at that point I have a feeling more education will not seem like a fun concept!!
BTW, thans for the clarification. Will these same timeframes apply to the UFA period? |

The Off-Season UFA period is already a 48 hour clock.
Only the In-Season UFA period is a 24 hour clock.
