4.02 QB Kyle Orton, Chicago
Are you sold on Grossman being the QB of the future in Chicago? I'm not. Orton was a potential #1 overall going into the 2004 college season, he started off well but struggled late which killed his stock and caused him to slide to the early 4th round. He may get a shot as a starter sooner than some might expect in Chicago. They seem pretty high on him, plus he's a local boy coming from Purdue and all. I don't expect an immediate return on him, but 3 years from now, he might be a great value in the Frenzy.
QB is really the perfect position for the Practice Squad, as they often take 3 years or so to develop. Orton completes what we feel is a stellar 2005 draft class for the Predators. The Preds have drafted help at every position (1 QB, 3 RB, 1 WR, 1 TE, and 1 K), and will have room to accomodate all 7 drafted players in one way or another to allow them to grow into future stars. Predators 2005 Draft Class :Bears QB Kyle Orton - 4.02 :Buccaneer RB Cadillac Williams - 1.01 :Jaguars RB Alvin Pearman - 2.12 :Giants RB Brandon Jacobs - 3.01 :Ravens WR Mark Clayton - 1.11 :Steelers TE Heath Miller - 1.17 :Jets K Mike Nugent - 2.02 Last edited by Preds; May 13th, 2005 at 01:55 PM. |

All y'all claim to be a :homer for too many teams! Pick one and stick to it, ye fairweatherers!*
(Sheesh, these are the same people who join 10 ff leagues and brag when they win a championship every year...!) *(And while you're at it, leave the Bears rooks to the true Chicago :homer s! |

Re: 4.02 QB Kyle Orton, Chicago
i'm a Bloomington :homer ... thus translating into a Grossman :homer and not a Bears :homer
my :homers consist of Bloomington kids, Colts players and Notre Dame and Indiana University players ... those are the only :homers I claim ... thus the reasoning of my Courtney Roby :homer (IU), Anthony Davis :homer (Colts), and Grossman :homer (Bloomington High School South)
