4.2, Ben Utecht, TE, Indianapolis
This guy was a great receiving tight end for my hometown Gophers, until he got injured. He could have had a shot to be a mid round pick, but I believe he is out for the next season. Even so, he was good enough to be signed right after the draft. No one is likely to make my DS at this pick, so I'll take him and keep him for a while in case I have the room.
Also, another reason aside from going to my alma matter, he went to high school at Hastings (MN), which is where I made my first catch as a high school football player (WR) in 10th grade, and where I made my first varsity start. Coincidently, no catches in that game. |

Yeah, if he makes it, I doubt it will be in Indy. I'm surprised the Vikes didn't sign him with their long term need at the position (Indy might have out bid for his services, I don't recall). Either way, he's worth a flyer.

I had him as my top TE left on the board... would have considered him at 4.11 if he was still available.
