Re: 2.7 Chris Cooley - Washington
It took you all night to make this selection? Definitely a head scratcher IMO. Still plenty of high round talent available.

not a bad pickup at all...who's his competition in Washington? Walter Rasby?

Re: 2.7 Chris Cooley - Washington
I had to look him up in my draft book to see who he was!

Actually, he may be very good. I just was a bit surprised at this point in the draft... then again, I don't know when their next pick was. |

Re: 2.7 Chris Cooley - Washington
C'mon guys... how could you be unfamiliar with one of the best pass catching TEs in a draft where we're selecting 62 guys? I think its a solid pick. Rager's had an obvious need at TE (that's why I knew I had to trade ahead of him to get Troupe). Cooley is a TE with, as the Swords pointed out, little competition in Washington. He is also exclusively a pass catching TE. He is known to have excellent hands but very poor blocking ability... I doubt Gibbs brought him in to clear rushing lanes. I believe he has the talent to become a Frank Wycheck type of TE some day.
