Default Mock Draft Version 2

Well I'm bored and I thought after the recent transactions I'd give a mock draft another run. I'm a bit disappointed others have not done mocks, maybe all are afraid of revealing who you like, but it can also serve as a place for misdirection.

This will be my final mock and I should be gone most of the weekend. Keep them trade offers coming and can't wait until Monday to get this thing started.

With that in mind here is my mock draft:

1.1 Liquid Swords

RB Kevin Jones
The consensus #1 pick. I wish I had teh #1 pick to pick up this stud RB. I had him #1 on my draft board before the NFL draft and landing on the lions and cemented that spot for me. Should be solid for the Swords.

1.2 Nittany Dodgers

RB Julius Jones
Jones is a solid RB and he'll be starting for day 1 and will get the bulk of the carries. In fantasy football a starting RB not caught in an RBBC is very valuable.

1.3 Parkwood Predators

RB Tatum Bell
In trading Shipp, the Predators replace him with Tatum Bell. This time Mike will not make the mistake of trading down and out of reach for Denver's rookie RB. Portis Redux?

1.4 Jersey Toxic Waste

RB Stephen Jackson
With Eddie George and William Green's status in 2004 up in the air, the Waste will be forced to pick Jackson. Not too shabby of a pick up. Probably will not see consitent playtime, but there will be a stretch where Faulk will be injured for 3 to 4 games and Jackson could provide some much needed help.

1.5 Bay Area Bloodsucking Insects

TE Kellen Winslow II
No change here. Winslow will be a stud for years to come and he'll be on my roster. If you want Winslow you'll have to jump into the Top 4.

1.6 Bay Area Bloodsucking Insects

WR Larry Fitzgerald
A great WR and the best player available. May take some years to develop but will be a stud.

1.7 Urza's Ragers

WR Roy Williams
Can't see the Ragers passing on Williams. Will be a future stud.

1.8 Wonder Mutts

QB Eli Manning
Same as before. A solid pick this late in the draft and fills a Mutt need.

1.9 Wonder Mutts

WR Lee Evans
Has had a solid mini-camp and has been building a buzz lately.

1.10 Brain Dead Squirrel Chasers

RB Chris Perry
I see him falling out of favor for the Mutts with Marvin Lewis' latest statement on hoping to give Rudi a multi-year deal. Not too bad a reach at 1.10 though.

1.11 Philadelphia Freedom

RB Mike Clayton
Landing in Jon Gruden's offense will suit Clayton perfectly.

1.12 Parkwood Predators

RB Cedric Cobbs
An RB that one will have to wait a few years for, but at 1.12 not too bad a risk.

Possible 1st Rounders:

QB Philip Rivers
QB Ben Roth
WR Reggie Williams
WR Rashuan Woods

Summary
1.1 Liquid Swords- RB Kevin Jones
1.2 Nittany Dodgers- RB Julius Jones
1.3 Parkwood Predators- RB Tatum Bell

1.5 Bay Area Bloodsucking Insects- TE Kellen Winslow II

Early riser on the left coast. I think that this is similar to the mock that I have done and it seems plausible. I think there will be a surprise or two since we all seem to look for slightly different things.

I too can't wait for this to get started and actually I would guess that the Swords could announce their pick whenever (of course the clock would still not officially start until Monday).
