I like what Gil Brandt says about this kid:

“I love Vance McDonald,” said Brandt, an analyst for NFL.com. “This is an excellent athlete. He’s big, and he’s fast and I thought he was the second-best tight end out there.”

The Niners traded up to get him as an all around replacement for Delanie Walker. They love his versatility, so much so that Coach Harbaugh intentionally gave him Ditka's number.

I also love that NFL.com's comparison player for him is Todd Heap.

Good enough for me, especially for a PS eligible draftee. Welcome to the Preds Vance!
