1.07 RB Eddie Lacy, Green Bay
I never expected Lacy to fall this far, expected him to go within the first few picks, thus seeing him fall made me really reconsider my draft strategy. In the end, I couldn't justify bypassing him over my original plan, thus welcome to the Preds Eddie!

He should be the goalie back on a high octane offense. Solid pick.

same reason he slid in the real NFL draft injury concerns.

I think it was much overblown and numerous teams will regret passing him up.

Re: 1.07 RB Eddie Lacy, Green Bay
Lacy has a very good shot at RB1, granted he has to beat out Franklin and the other young kid there, but he has more talent than the others, a lot more. If he's healthy he will do well. Worth the limited risk IMO, and I love the Packers offense.

Re: 1.07 RB Eddie Lacy, Green Bay
didn't all the backs, other than Bell, have injury concerns? Lacy had his toes fused BEFORE his last season at Alabama...so don't see that as an issue. The downside with Lacy is they also took Franklin, so makes you wonder what they did think about Lacy, and why another quality back in same draft? I really think NFL teams are moving away from 1 back sets, unless you have a AP or Foster....get used to each team having 2 or even 3 quality backs..going to make FF play tougher....

Yes, Burt. That's correct.
Gone are the one back, every down days in the NFL. |

Darn. Was hoping you would let him slide as well. I'll have my pick in this evening...just want to make sure I haven't overlooked anything...but you all probably know who I'm picking anyway

I get a laugh out of people selecting the same players in multiple leagues... diversify your risk!

Re: 1.07 RB Eddie Lacy, Green Bay
perhaps, but I'd wager most often it works out as a negative. Plus why have the same team in multiple leagues? Aside from knowing who to root for, it just seems to be putting all your eggs in one basket.
FWIW, if he takes who I think he's going to take, it just means my guy is 1 pick closer to me... Pick away Patrick!

Re: 1.07 RB Eddie Lacy, Green Bay
Well, if you have done your research, and when given your choice, your top guy is still there, why would you take your 2nd choice, if you need same position in another league?

And again, I'm completely fine if he takes him as the player I suspect was low on my list of targets.

Re: 1.07 RB Eddie Lacy, Green Bay
Team needs, player opportunity and simply the best available player on my board trumps diversification. Diversification has no weight IMO.
I actually had Lacy at #2 on my board. Can't believe he fell to #7. |

Eddie was a steal at 1.07! Really looking forward to him in 2014.

Not that there was any doubt who the starter in in GB, but this pretty much seals it - and everyone thought Eddie was the injury risk - sorry John:

Re: 1.07 RB Eddie Lacy, Green Bay
Jeez!!! This went south way too quickly!!! ... I was more worried about my other RB selection's (49er Lattimore) long and short term health.
Unless I need the spot I will probably leave Franklin on the Taxi Squad and let the NFL physicians prepare him for life after football like the Lions did with Jahvid Best...
