Default 2.12 Johnnie Morant, WR (Oak)

My brain says "take a longshot on a RB"... but my heart says, "Don't pass on this chance for Morant." I'm going with my heart here.

Yah, I know he's got a history of being a "career underachiever"... gives inconsistent effort... runs sloppy routes... has lots of drops...

However, he's 6'4"... 221 lbs... isn't afraid to go over the middle and make the tough (acrobatic) catches. This could be seen as a "high-risk, high-reward" pick... however, I see it more as a "low-risk, high-reward"... in that I doubt very many draft picks made from here on out will have much of a chance at being significant fantasy producers. Morant has that potential. I'll let him "develop" out here in the islands.

Scary how much good you read about his intangibles. If he gets his head screwed on right he may be a real value pick here and at this point that is about all we can hope for right?

Yah, I began the draft saying, "Not to self: don't draft Morant." His lack of motivation was just too important. Then I drafted Mr. Boyscout/Choirboy Michael Clayton... so figured I can have a little leeway with Morant being on the other end of the discipline spectrum.

But in my opnion, any pick from here on out has to be "upside" (except maybe for some TEs who are still under the radar).
